Gorilla Laffs

Rob and his family were so well looked after by St Catherine’s Hospice, we are raising money for them. The target last year was £17k. This is the amount of money the hospice has to raise every day to provide a continued high level of care.
Why not check out how we’re doingAt the last count we had raised over £25,000!

Mad Hatter Ball

Friday 17th November

Come and join us at Burford Bridge Hotel on Friday 17th November to honour the memory of Rob ‘The Silverback’ Sedgwick and to help  continue to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice, Crawley.
Last year we set ourselves the target of raising £17k which is the amount of money they have to raise every day. Yes, you read that right, every single day.

Through a variety of activities we smashed the target and raised over £24k:
– Rob’s sister in law ran 100k in 100 days and raised over £5k
– I had my head shaved very publicly and raised over £3k (you can see the edited highlights here (no pun intended!)
– The first Mad Hatter Ball which raised over £12k through ticket sales, a raffle and auction.
You can see the full story and video here Very kindly filmed and edited by the wonderful Emma of ReelFeel

Last year we had a Mad Hatter theme as Rob loved his hats.
This year, whilst we’re keeping the name Mad Hatter, we are going to celebrate his love of 80s music with an 80s theme.

Why not book a table for you and your friends and get your leg warmers on to work out what mad 80s outfit you are going to wear. Either keep the Mad Hatter theme and just decorate your head, or go the whole hog and embrace your inner 80s – Village People anyone?

There will be a three-course dinner, an auction, a raffle, a comedy act and a live band/dancing and other stuff!

Get your dancing shoes on, cheque books in hand and bonkers bonnets ready for a fab evening.

Friday 17th November
7pm to midnight
Tithe Barn
Burford Bridge Hotel
At the Foot of Box Hill
Tickets – £75 per person

What’s happening at the ball?

This year is an 80s theme so expect to be confronted by leg warmers, face paint and flourescent outfits.

You’ll be served a three course meal after a welcome drink.

There may be various fund raising activities throughout the evening.

We will be entertained by comedy duo – Peter & Bambi Heaven who will be fresh from the Edinbugh Fringe Festival.
There are no words to describe their act – I can only say that Rob would have wholeheartedly approved of them!

Here’s a small sample of their ‘sketches’

There will also be live music from 100 Monkeys who entertained us so well last year. They are a lively five piece band – so polish your dancing shoes!

Charity Ball

Come to the Mad Hatter Ball in Dorking on Friday 17th November. Get a group of you together to share a table and get some hilarious hat/80s action on.

Due to the success of last year’s raffle (we raised over £2k from ticket sales alone), we would like to run a raffle again this year.

We are looking for raffle prizes. If you’d like to donate a prize, please get in touch – karen@thechameleonguide.com
No business related prizes this year please.
